Lava : Scott Rehling

In the early 1990's Scott was the co-founder of one of Austin’s first digital recording studios, Alternate Audio. Known for its innovative original music compositions and digital recording/editing capabilities, high profile clients turned to Alternate Audio for video game audio, audio for corporate film and video and original audio production for Television and radio commercials. Scott has engineered, performed, produced and composed original music for video game projects such as Road Rash and The Cartoon History of the Universe, corporate film/video for the likes of Dell, Motorola, Apple Computer, and the University of Nebraska, and national television and radio commercials for Zima, Chevrolet and Levi’s.

Like his partners in Lava Studios, Scott has also been performing in bands and recording albums for many years. In 1996, he founded the band Dysfunkshun Junkshun, which has won top funk band honors several times over the years at the Austin Music Awards and has consistently been one of the top drawing live bands in the region. As a keyboard player and recording artist, Scott has performed, recorded, and/or shared the stage with artists such as The Neville Brothers, Run DMC, Ton Loc, Brian Setzer, KC and The Sunshine Band, The Outfield, and The Knack.

Scott has Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Nebraska.
